I've always followed the saying "Enjoy the little Things". Animals, plants and all other higher macro-organisms evolved from these micro-genomes — that is a fact. When life ends, every king on this planet becomes feast to microbes again. So it is a matter of fact that they are farming us and we should pay tribute. I joined my colleagues on this wonderful quest in search of this marvellous miniature life which is seen only when you look close enough.
Microorganisms have always been an essential part of human life. I am indeed pleased to join this project to share as well as to broaden my knowledge on microorganisms. I really enjoyed reading and exploring this fascinating field. The team I am working with is amazing.

It was a little hard for me as a newbie in video editing, but passion towards microbiology and dedication made it happen.
In the video, myself and Pabasara (the script writer) tried to emphasise the microbial aspects of COVID-19 and the importance of vaccination for disease prevention. We also tried to break some myths strongly rooted in society.
Being a project by undergraduates of the University of Colombo, Faculty of Science, this blog focuses on addressing rising global issues and providing possible answers per our friendly microbiome, with the hope of extending our vision to new dimensions of microbiology in the future.
I hope this will be an interesting read and will reach the global community who are enthusiastic to learn more about what is "unseen".
